What you can do at the end

  • Design a microcontroller board and get your own firmware running on it.
  • Write bring-up diagnostics that turn a dead board into a diagnosable one.
  • Complete a KiCad and FreeCAD round trip and verify mechanical fit before ordering.
  • Debug across the hardware and firmware boundary using a scope, a logic analyser and a debugger together.
