The curriculum is free to read and work through without an account. An account exists for one reason: so that someone other than you can look at what you built and say whether it holds up.

• Your progress follows you between machines instead of living in one browser.
• Submit a finished skill and an evaluator records validated, or tells you what is missing.
• Your portfolio carries someone else's judgement, not only your own.
